In today’s world where sickness and disease is everywhere. We as God’s people need to know the authority that has been given to us. The Bible is very clear that because of the Blood that Jesus shed you and I have this authority through not only the blood but in the name of Jesus Christ. This authority does NOT belong to the world it belongs to the blood bought people of God who have surrendered to Jesus Christ. Many believe that we are all God’s children but not so, the Bible is very clear in Romans 8:14 “For as many that are led by the Spirit of God they are the children of God”. It’s important to understand this because not everyone has the privilege of having the authority in Jesus’ name, it belongs to the Spirit fill believers.
Bold As A Lion
God almighty sees His people as lions, but sadly many in the church do not. The church should be bold as a lion, not cowards always complaining and attacking one another like the religious people. Proverbs 28: 1 declares that “the righteous are bold as a lion” and 1 Chronicles 12:8 also, so how do we become bold as a lion.
First, we must understand that Jesus is the lion not satan, yes, I know the Bible says satan goes around as a lion, but that does not mean he is the lion, there is only one Lion and that is the Lion of Judea, Jesus Christ. So, let’s not give that defeated coward satan more credit than he deserves. The reason some Christians see satan as a lion is because they are defeated already because of prayerlessness. It’s time to dwell in the presence of the Lord and become bold as a lion. If God see you bold as a lion it’s time for you see yourselves bold as a lion.
3 Things About A Lion
- He is a pursuer
He is not lazy; he goes after what belongs to him - He is a fierce animal
The word fierce means “violently Aggressive”
Matt 11:12 tells us “The kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force. We know we do not wrestle with flesh and blood but with demon power. So, we are not talking about being physically violent here, we are talking about taking your authority over satan and his demons. You have this authority over the powers of hell, now stand in Jesus’ name and take it.
- The lion is patience, Job 38:39 tells us.
Boldness Comes From the Secret Place
So, know your authority that Jesus has given you by knowing what the Bible say’s about your authority.,This is the first step. Then spend time in the presence of the Holy Spirit through prayer and the studying of the word. This is where the Holy Spirit will impart this boldness, supernatural boldness like a lion. Once the Holy Spirit imparts this boldness through prayer. Then you will be ready for war with the devil over sickness and whatever area he is attacking you in. The word authority means knowing the power or the right to force obedience. This is what Jesus gave to you and I and sadly many Christians never stand on this authority. But know it’s time to arise and take back everything that satan has stolen.
If you want to know the authority that belongs to you study the authority of Jesus Christ throughout the Gospels. Mark 9:25, 26 this portion of God’s word will get you started and build faith as you see how Jesus took authority over demon spirits. This same authority has been given to you, but I caution you, if you’re a prayerless Christian don’t go into battle without your armor. Only those who spend time in the presence of Jesus Christ will defeat satan and his demons. That’s why the world and religious people can’t understand this time of warfare, it belongs to those who know the secret place of the most high.
We Have Been Given Power Over All Demons
Jesus gave us all power and authority over satan, you can study this for yourself and build a solid foundation of faith, Matt 10:1, Mark 16: 17, 18, Luke 10: 17-20. So what is holden you back? Are you not sick and tired of satan harassing your children, attacking your finances, or family members? Once you know who you are in Christ Jesus and stop being religious you will stop begging God to help and start commanding satan to loose everything that belongs to you, and this includes sickness in your own body!
Now, go and study the disciple’s authority, study how they dealt with demons and the power of hell in their days. Remember Jesus is the same yesterday, Today, and Forever, He doesn’t change, He is the same today. He is still healing and delivering His people like He did thousands of years ago. Here are some scriptures that demonstrate the authority of the disciples, Acts 3:1-9, Acts 9: 33 -35, Acts 9: 37 – 42, Acts 16: 16- 18.
The Bible Teaches Us We Have Authority In The Spirit World
You might be asking, why am I teaching this message on Authority. Because it is time for you to take authority over the devil and stop being defeated in every area of your life. I am not saying that every problem in your life is because of a demon spirit. I am telling you to discern what is a demon and what is not a demon. This way you can take authority over it and see victory.
If you feel pain your body, lay hands on that area and command it to go in Jesus name. If you see your children being afflicted or going down a path that you discern is trouble begin to command satan to loose your children. You can do this in your time of prayer, the kids don’t have to be there with you, believe me satan hears you and is afraid of those who know who they are in Jesus name.
How to Operate In This Authority
Now I want to show you how to operate in this boldness or Anointing that’s in your life. First you must have a strong relationship with Jesus Christ, not a religious one. I am not talking about going to a building called church and listening to someone tell you about who God is. I am talking about a deep intimate relationship with the Son of God Jesus Christ. In His presence is where you find this boldness and authority.
You do not get this authority just because you go to church. Or because you call yourself a Christian but have no relationship with Jesus. The vagabond Jews learned this the hard way. They thought they could command demon spirits because they knew Paul the apostle and seen him cast out demons. Well, it doesn’t work that way, you must know the presence of Jesus Christ for yourself, and this takes a life of prayer and fellowship with Him daily.
How To Become Bold As A Lion
As you begin this journey of living a life of prayer and building an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. This is where He becomes very real to you and His voice becomes very clear. You will start experiencing this boldness and power that has been promised to you. Also, you will experience persecution. Because the world will think you’re nuts and religious people will not understand. They don’t know Him, they have a form of Godliness but deny the power of God. These are the ones who attack the Gifts of the Spirit, and living in the promises of God. They also believe the presence of Jesus is just emotions, which is a clear sign that they have never experienced the Master in a real way that belongs to anyone that will call upon the Lord.
But the result of prayer and persecution is great boldness on your life Acts 4: 29 -31. So rejoice that He has allowed you to know Him and experience Him in a real way. This boldness is the result of the anointing in your life. This is a gift from God because Jesus paid the price so we can have His anointing and power. Any time the Holy Spirit moves upon you, you will experience supernatural boldness like in 1 Samuel 10: 6
